I am not sure when it happened, probably when I started at GTC, but I have become quite possessive of office supplies. I mean, how can you be a student at a college and not have any supplies with you? I don't mean a calculator or a stapler, I mean pencils, pens, paper!?! Aren't these essentials for any student? Seriously, I had a student come in and ask if he could borrow a pen...reluctantly I said "Fine, whatever"...then he comes back up to the desk to ask for a sheet of paper...that's when a piece of me died inside.

Those darn students! When I was little, I got so tired of everyone "borrowing" my pencils and never giving them back that I ordered a set of pencils with my name on them. By the end of the year, you could look around the room and see "Heather McIntosh" on everyone's pencils.
